To “initialize” the unit you have to enter the Service mode
Hold RPM key down

Turn the Main Switch ON

SE 1 will appear on your display

Use the Time knob to scroll up to SE 2

Press the “Start Stop” button to enter this service function

Press the RPM key to initialize

It will momentarily display the time, temperature and RPM and return the display below

By doing this you have cleared ans Reset the memory.
The initialization is recommended as a first step to rid Error 6 and after installing a board.
